How Does It Feel?


Cast:
1 (late-teens to late-thirties, male or female)

Setting: Black stage, cast lined up 1 through 5, left to right, very close, wide spotlight on their faces and upper bodies only. They are are at the extreme edge of upstage center, dressed in all black, cast should be all healthy looking, little to no make-up or external ornamentation, can be any mixture of male and female, any races, etc...

1: How does it feel...?

2: To be loved...?

3: To be in love...?

4: To love someone else...?

5: To never return...?

(Sequence: spotlight starts fading down, all five take one step forward toward audience, all step with the same foot, perfectly timed and spaced, the line should stay in tact as perfectly and precisely as can be done, as soon as step is done, spotlight fades up again. This will be a small dip in the lights, visually, I want them to step forward in dim light, and snap back to the new line, starting their parts again when the spotlight is full)
